Harold R. "Scotty" Scott, 83 of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

Scotty was born June 9, 1935 in Beecher City, the son of George E. and Hazel (Huston) Scott. He married Katherine Ann McSweeney on September 24, 1968 and she preceded him in death in 1979. Scotty then married Rose Ann Baumeister on May 18, 1985.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Rose Ann; sons, James and Anthony; step-children, Teresa (Jeff) Earl, Donna (Ken) Steger, David (Debbie) Hansen and Dan (Tiffany) Hansen; sisters, Zola, Eileen and Norma; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Scotty was preceded in death by his parents; first spouse, Katherine; brother, Robert Scott; sister, Leona Scott and half siblings, John, Margaret, Ollive, Roy, Helen, Ida, Cale, Mary and Hershel.
