Harold B. Dasenbrock, 93 of Effingham, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, with a 6:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Harold was born April 18, 1922 in Effingham, the son of Anton and Lillian (Laue) Dasenbrock. He married Marie P. Goldstein on June 25, 1947 and she preceded him in death in 2011. Harold was a life-long farmer, a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and the Effingham Knights of Columbus Council #665.

Surviving are his son, Kenneth (Mary) of Effingham; three daughters, Rosemary (Jim) Baker, Diane (Jim) Livingston and Jane (Timothy) Bishop, all of Effingham. Harold also leaves behind his thirteen grandchildren, Beth Bernahl, Brent Baker, Lisa Herzinger, Scott, Kevin and Brian Dasenbrock, Tyler, Katie and Nicholas Bishop, Bradley Livingston, Rachel Miller, Kim Arnett and Stacey Apke; eighteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; brother, Clarence and sisters, Marie Haarmann and Alice Haarmann.
