Gertrude E. Alldredge, 91 of Effingham, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, surrounded by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to Sacred Heart Church.

Gertrude was born December 29, 1931 in Teutopolis, the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Probst) Kroeger. She married Silas Ray Alldredge in September of 1961 and he preceded her in death in 2006.

Gertrude is survived by her children, Allan (Kim) Alldredge of Bridgeport, Kathy (John) Hills of Casey, Mike (Valerie) Alldredge of College Station, TX, Debbie (Bryan) McFarland of Altamont, and Diane (Ron) Stodden of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Dolores Koeberlein of Beecher City; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Hayley Stodden; siblings, Leona Mette, Clara Mette, Albert Kroeger, Clem Kroeger, and Anna Mae Nosbisch.
