Gerald B. Willison, 90, of Effingham, died at 12:16 a.m., Sunday, January 1, 2012 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to funeral service, Friday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Gerald was born August 12, 1921, the son of Ernest and Emma (Jacobs) Willison. He married Delores Smith on November 20, 1945. Gerald later married Clara A. Adkins in January of 1982 and she preceded him in death. He was a member of the Effingham American Legion Post #120 and the Effingham V.F.W. Post #1769. Gerald served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II and was a part of the Signal Corps in Italy and Africa.
He is survived by his son, Garrett of Reno, Nevada; two daughters, Kay Morris of St. Louis, MO and Wanda (Wayne) Counsil of Reno, Nevada; one sister, Zelma Appelt of Shumway; three grandchildren, Christopher Counsil, Allison Counsil and Leon Mire.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his wives; one daughter, Carol Deak; one sister, Lawanda; son-in-law, Asa Morris.
