Gerald C. "Jerry" Goldstein, 65, passed away at 3:50 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his home in Effingham.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m ., Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., Friday morning in the St. Anthony Parish Center . In, lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jerry's grandchildren or to the donor's choice.
Jerry was born December 15, 1948 in Effingham, the son of Louis and Florence (Haarmann) Goldstein. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jason M. Goldstein; brother, Ron (Heidi) of Effingham; five sisters, Ruth (Clete) Bierman, Janet Probst, Marilyn (Ken) Vogt, Sharon (Ralph) Vogel, all of Effingham and Brenda (Pat) Walk of Sigel; three grandchildren, Devan, Lacey and Elizabeth.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, David Probst.
