Georgia M. Hanks' Obituary
Georgia Marie Hanks, 92, formerly of Indio, California, passed away at 11:15 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Camp Butler in Springfield.
Georgia was born April 7, 1922 in Danville, the daughter of George W. and Lucille (Butcher) Clem. She married William Joseph Hanks in 1961 and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Georgia is survived by her granddaughter, DeAnna McWilliams of Effingham and grandson, Michael McWilliams of St. Louis, MO; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Marie Mahon and great-grandson, Parker Alan Danuser; step-son, William J. Bagget of Wrightsville Beach, NC and sister, Elsie Smith of Decatur.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Bob McWilliams; brother, Eugene Clem; sister, Audrey Sparks and brother-in-law, Harold "Hedgie" Smith.
