Frank H. Kortte , 95, of Effingham passed away at 4:38 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Effingham. Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham with 5:30 p.m. parish wake service and 6:30 p.m. K of C Rosary with 4th Degree services. He was born on August 15, 1916 in Dieterich, the son of Frank and Catherine (Schneiderjan) Kortte. Frank married Christine C. Haarmann on November 11, 1941. He first worked at the Illinois Glove Company, then Illinois Drivers License Facility, and then in the custodial department at the Effingham County Court House. He was also an Electrolux Dealer.

Frank was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Effingham and a Life member Effingham K of C Council #665, 4th Degree.

He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years, Christine of Effingham; son: Thomas (wife Barb) of Leesburg, FL.; daughters: Connie (husband John) Ramsey of Belleville, MI.; Linda (husband Ed) Beyers of Neoga; Marsha (husband Duane) Reynolds of Watson; grandchildren: Kathy (Rhett) Kilmer, Todd Kortte, Angela (Mike) Shock, Bryan Kortte, Wendy (Aziz) Panjwani, Brent (Dee) Beyers, Justin (Sara) Beyers, Brooke (Josh) Rennels, Charlene (Brian) Langley, John Paul Ramsey and Amber (Jason) Fielitz; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters: Elizabeth Runde and Kathryn Wesselman both of Teutopolis.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son James; grandson Mickey Reynolds; brothers: John, Henry and Joe; sisters: Rosa Dust, Helen Haarmann, Veronica Hartl, Anna Wesselman, and Agnes Kortte
