Eva J. Rosteck, 71 of Effingham, passed away at 12:40 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will take place later that day at 1:30 p.m. in Richardson Hill Cemetery in Dahlgren, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Eva was born October 2, 1943 in Effingham, the daughter of Lindel S. and Ruby P. (Hutchcraft) Bell. She was a graduate of the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Effingham.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Kimberly McDevitt of Effingham; two brothers, Kenneth M. Bell of Effingham and Lester E. (Ann) Bell of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Marie (David) Delaney of Effingham and Suzanne Kollmann of Altamont; four grandchildren, Lacy Michelle (Jacob) Spannagel of Teutopolis, Heather Renee (Jason) Longardner of Effingham, Jacob Michael (Hillary) McDevitt of Effingham and Jessica Dawn McDevitt of Effingham; six great-grandchildren, Madison Fear, Braden and Colin Sweeney and their father, Phillip Sweeney , Mikayla McDevitt, Skylar Longardner and Kyndall Spannagel; uncle, Richard Bell of Mt. Prospect; aunt, Stella Ewald of Dahlgren; sister-in-law, Peggy Bell of McLeansboro; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great- great-nephew also survive.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lindel and brother-in-law, Clarence Kollmann.
