Emma E. Mihlbachler, 94 of Effingham, passed away at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Sigel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Emma was born February 15, 1919 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Zumbahlen) Holkenbrink. She married Lawrence A. Mihlbachler on November 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1982. Emma was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham.
Emma is survived by her two daughters, Pat (Richard) Ketteman and Jane Swank, both of Effingham; sister, Marie Dust of Effingham; son-in-law, Patrick Dasenbrock of Teutopolis; sister-in-law, Wilma Holkenbrink of Teutopolis; eight grandchildren, Shawn (Jennifer) of Gillespie and Tim (Jennifer) Swank of Tampa, FL, Ryan Dasenbrock of Teutopolis, Carla Dasenbrock of Teutopolis, Jody Dasenbrock of St. Charles, MO, Kelly (Dirk) Bartges of Charleston, Jill Ketteman of Chico, CA and Jennifer Ketteman of Chicago; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Jacob, Paige and Morgan Swank, Trinity Watkins and Brooklyn Bartges.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; daughter, Mary Dasenbrock; brother, Leo; two sisters, Thelma Pruemer and Helen Dust; son-in-law, Terry Swank.
