Douglas N. Laue's Obituary
Douglas Neil Laue, 58 of Springfield, formerly of Effingham, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Private services were held with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Doug was born April 26, 1957 in Mattoon, the son of Terry and Mary (Fisher) Laue.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching television, bowling, raking leaves in the autumn, and keeping tabs on the birthdays of family members. Doug also loved cats immensely. Real or plush, photographed or animated- if it was feline, Doug loved it.
He is survived by his three brothers, Paul (Julie) Laue of Kankakee, Mark (Amy) Laue of Kankakee and Guy Laue of Hickory, KY; his sister, Angie (Deke) Harris of Jersey City, NJ also survives. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve.
Private services were held with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery.
