Douglas B. "Doug" Brummer, 60, passed away Sunday morning, April 20, 2014 at his home in Sigel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to time of service, Wednesday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brummer Family.

Doug was born March 21, 1954 in Effingham, the son of Clarence "Shorty" and Elaine (Tegenkamp) Brummer. He served with the United States Navy and was previously employed by Sherwin-Williams.

Doug is survived by his two sons, Jordan and Ethan, both of Sigel; daughter, Tasha of Effingham; two brothers, Terry (Janet) and Brian (Brenda), both of Effingham; three sisters, Linda (Albert) Durbin of Brownstown, Toni Lynn (Charles) Stigers of Shumway and Scottie Ann Jones of Iola; two grandchildren also survive.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
