Dorothy G. Huddleson, 88 of Effingham, passed away Tuesday morning, March 5, 2019 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Dorothy was born November 18, 1930 in Abingdon, Virginia, the daughter of Walter Irven and Valeria Josephine (Dishner) Minnick. She married Lyle Gene Huddleson and he preceded her in death in 1996. For many years, Dorothy cared for others as a registered nurse. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Otis Huddleson of Evansville, IN, Cheri (Jay) Kyle of TN, Margaret Huddleson of Lexington, SC, Lyle Gene Huddleson II of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin (Steffi) of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Courtney Tegeler, Lindy Vaught, Casey Burkett, Cheyenne Kyle and Mitchell Kyle, as well as eight great-great-grandchildren.
