Dorothy R. Herboth, 84, of Effingham died at 1:55 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 6:30 p.m. C.C.W. rosary. Dorothy was born March 18, 1927 in Teutopolis, the daughter of Henry and Dora (Donsbach) Rieman. She married Louis A. Herboth on December 1, 1945 and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2006. Dorothy was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by four sons, Donald L. (JoAnn) of Altamont, Carl H. (Inge) of Altamont, Francis L. (Marsha) of Watson and Mike L. (Rose) of Ellington, MO; ten daughters, Dolores (Johney) Morris of Bradley, Joan Eggers, Louise (Tom) Nuxoll, Jeanette (Allen) Barr and Paula (Randy) Strunk, all of Effingham, Kathy (Mike) McGuire of Edgewood, Becky (Jake) Adams of Effingham, Dottie (Paul) Hawker of Hazel Dell, Marti (Gary) Breer of Teutopolis and Melinda Sayne of Bloomington; 47 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; two sons, Joseph and David; son-in-law, Kenny Eggers; 2 grandsons, one great-grandson; three brothers and six sisters.
