Doris Jean (Devore) Wyckoff, 92 of Effingham, formerly of Shumway, gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:22 a.m. at Lakeland Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, with Jeff Michaels officiating. Burial will take place in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and for one hour prior to the funeral service, Thursday at the funeral home.

Doris was born on November 16, 1932, the daughter of Glen W. and Geneva Devore. Doris married the love of her life, Gerald Wyckoff, on Christmas Day in 1952.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald; children Steve (Kathy) Wyckoff and Cindy (Dave) Julius; son-in-law Jerry Herrmann; and brother, Glen E. "Pete" Devore. Doris was a proud grandmother to Ryan (Sarah) Wyckoff, Jodi (Jeff) Tirevold, Jonathon ((Kylee) Julius, Jill (Jared) Sprau, Jennifer (Aaron) Jones, Jacob (Michelle) Herrmann, Jason (Kelsey) Herrmann, and Julie (Robert) Hicks. She was also blessed with 21 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved daughter, Kitty Jo Herrmann; in-laws, Gail and Sara Wyckoff; infant brother, Kenneth Dale; sister, Wanda Finfrock; and brother-in-law, Paul Finfrock.

Doris will be remembered for her love for her family.
