Doris I. Willenborg, 85 of Effingham, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the church with a C.C.W. rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Doris was born August 1, 1928 in Pana, the daughter of Monte and Nora (Warren) Gaughan. She married Albert A. Willenborg on February 14, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1981. Doris was an elementary school teacher. She was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham, St. Anthony C.C.W. and Cursillo.

Doris is survived by six sons, Paul (Debra) of Effingham, Edward Michael (Joan) of Montrose, David J. of Sigel, Dan (Margie), James and Albert, all of Effingham; four daughters, Barbara (Faber) Fairbanks of Effingham, Ruth (Leonard) Westendorf of Teutopolis, Mary (Steve) Deters of Teutopolis and Deborah Willenborg of Champaign; sister, Sr. Charlotte Gaughan, SSND of Bridgeton, MO; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, John.
