Doris Rhodes, 82, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Aperion Care in Fairfield.

Private family graveside services will be held at St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Memorial donations may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation.

Doris was born February 22, 1938 in Decatur to the late Marie Schnur. She was the supervisor for the laundry service at the Ramada Inn in Effingham for 25 years. Doris was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. She also spent time crocheting and embroidering. Doris was able to showcase her talents at local craft fairs, as well as creating art for her friends and family.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Denise (Bruce) Gillard of Mt. Erie; sons, Scott Rhodes of Chesterfield, VA and Duane (Kylie) Rhodes of Effingham; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marisa Anne, who passed away in 1984.
