Donna Mae Perkey, 79, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at her home in Effingham, Il surrounded by her family.

In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated.   A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Sheboygan, WI in June 2023.

Donna was born on June 8, 1943 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Donald and Myrtle Payne.  She married Richard Perkey on February 16, 1963.

Donna lived a full life. She was the heart of your family. She loved traveling from coast to coast, spending time with her grandchildren and great-children, and reading. Donna was always willing to help her family and others in need.

Donna retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service.

Donna is survived by her sons, Richard "Rick" (Cathy) Perkey of Faribault, MN, and Gary Perkey of Effingham; daughter Debbie Hudgins of Effingham; grandchildren, Scott (Catalina) Perkey of Kenosha, WI, Shauntel Nelson of Savage, MN, Jason(Liz) Johns of Effingham, Eric (Tina) Johns, David McAdoo of Effingham, and Sarah McAdoo of Effingham; nine great-grandchildren.

Donna is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Jenette (Gary) Strege, Sandra Schindler, Barbara Siporski, Mary Krebsbach, Donald Jr. (Rita) Payne, Daniel (Susan) Payne, James (Mary) Payne, Evelyn Schindler, Peggy Sonneman, Kathy (Terry) Gahagan, Irvin "Jack" (Mary) Payne.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Brenda Schisel, and brother, Robert Payne.

Her family would like to thank the HSHS Hospice for all their help during this difficult time.

Mom, you will be missed dearly.
