Donald D. Prosser, 91 of Effingham, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday morning at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Care Center.

Donald was born August 1, 1927 in Mode, the son of Clarence and Inez (Collins) Prosser. He married Roma Jean Brandt on December 5, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2007. Donald served with the United States Army and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham.

He is survived by his brother, Cecil Prosser of St. Elmo and sister-in-law, Donna (Tom) Michael of Stewardson. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Michael; brother, Dewayne and sisters-in-law, Lois and Elaine Prosser.
