Dolores T. Esker, 94, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at her home in Teutopolis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:15 am, Wednesday at the church, in St. Clare Hall. Memorial donations may be given to Catholic Charities.

Dolores was born October 24, 1928, the daughter of Louis and Emma (Miller) Brumleve. She married Joseph B. "Barney" Esker on August 12, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2009. Dolores spent many years working in the office of their family business, J.B. Esker & Sons Concrete Construction, as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Church in Teutopolis, St. Francis Council of Catholic Women and the Third Order of St. Francis. Dolores enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wellbaum of Teutopolis; sons, Larry (Sue) and Joe (Angie), both of Teutopolis and Steve (Sandy) and Greg (Rosina), both of Dieterich; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Esker; 25 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William L. "Bill" Esker; brothers, Joe and Claude Brumleve and sister, Marian Schultz.
