Dennis R. Wilson's Obituary
Dennis R. Wilson, 60 of St. Elmo, passed away at 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
A visitation for Dennis will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with military rites at 4:00 p.m. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the local D.A.V. chapter.
Dennis was born July 26, 1953 in Mattoon, the son of Leland and Ruby (Cook) Wilson. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1971 to 1991 and was employed by Quad Graphics in Effingham.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Ruby Wilson of St. Elmo; three brothers, Jeff (Sheila) of Mason, Paul (Ida) of Richland, NC and Ed (friend, Crystal) of St. Elmo; three sisters, Brenda Wilson of St. Elmo, Inez (Bryan) Hawickhorst of St. Peters, MO and Julie (Wayne) Cornell of Effingham; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Leland and brother, Larry.
