Delores J. "Dee" Skrobot, 86 of Effingham, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to time of service, Monday morning at the funeral home. Memorials donations be given to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dee was born August 15, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Francis and Dora (Wakefield) Gere. She married Frederick Skrobot on Oct. 13, 1956 and he preceded her in death in 2011. Dee graduated from the Buffalo School of Nursing in 1956. After moving to Effingham, she began working at Marks Manor in Effingham and later retired in 2005 from Bonutti Clinic. She was a board member of the ECCOA. Dee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sons, James (wife, Katherine Lynn) of Charlotte, N.C. and Paul (wife, Miriam) of Ormand Beach, FL; daughter, Diane (Chris) Hagler of Newburgh, IN.; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren, Taylor, Blake, Alex, Casper, Lexa, Sebastian and Talon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Brian and his wife, Lauren.
