Obituary

David R. Pruemer, 81 of Teutopolis, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis with a 7:00 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. David was born December 22, 1933 in Effingham, the son of Harry B. and Clara (Schneck) Pruemer. He married Esther M. McClory on August 22, 1953 and she preceded him in death on June 14, 2009. David was a life-long dairy farmer and was a member of Mid AM Dairymen. He was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874.

David is survived by his sons, Mike (Tena) of Effingham, Ron (fiance, Michelle) of Teutopolis, Bob and (Brenda) of Teutopolis, Larry (Shanta) of Teutopolis, Mark (Julie) of Teutopolis, Bruce of Teutopolis, Keith (Tamara) of Effingham and Kevin (Lisa) of Dieterich; daughters, Susan Pruemer of Teutopolis and Karen Bales of Effingham; grandchildren: Jenny (Josh) Storck, Steph (Matt) Ruholl, Shelley (Randy) Tegenkamp, Shane Bales, Travis Pruemer, Lyle (Abby) Pruemer, Mallory Pruemer, Alex Pruemer, Lauren Pruemer, Neal Pruemer, Tara Pruemer, Riley Pruemer, Blake, Bryce, and Collin Pruemer, Konnor Pruemer, Jadyn Pruemer, Karson Pruemer; great-grandchildren, Denver, Taylor, Daimon, Dominick, Josie, Aubria, Baby Tegenkamp; brothers, Jerome (Louise) of Shelbyville and Gerald (Carol) of Teutopolis; sisters-in-law, Norma Buhler and Mary Ann Pruemer, both of Effingham; brother-in-law, Joe Borries Jr. of Teutopolis.

David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther; daughter, Nancy; sister, Harriet Borries and brothers, Clarence, Ed, Herb and Henry.
