David Lee Everett, 78 of Effingham, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to HSHS St. Anthony's Hospice.

David was born March 13, 1944 in Mason, the son of Renes and Louise (Gillespie) Everett. He married Nelda L. Durbin on March 14, 1964. David served on the Mason village board for thirty years and was a truck driver for many years.

David is survived by his wife, Nelda of Effingham; son, David (Brenda) of Effingham; daughter, Tanya(Kurt) Simon of Rockport, TX; brother, Charlie of Frederickstown, OH; grandchildren, David (Katie) Everett of Nashville, TN, Shelby Everett (fiancé, Dylan Einhorn) of Effingham, Braiden and Claire Overbeck of Effingham.

His parents and brothers, Richard, Paul, Loren, and Robert preceded him in death.
