David G. Cron I, 65 of Farina, passed away on January 16, 2017 at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

David was born on December 16, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Fred and Ethel (Ward) Cron. He married Merrill J. Evans on September 23, 1978.

He is survived by his wife; a son, David (Emily) Cron II of Roxbury, VT; one daughter, Kassandra (James) DeWeese of Effingham; two step-sons Robert (Amanda) Watkins of Knox, IN and Adam (friend Kathy) Watkins of Effingham; one step-daughter Christina Watkins; two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Cron of Bowling Green, KY and Jon (Linda) Cooros of Portage, IN; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Lessie.
