Dale E. Nelson, 77 of Watson, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the Edgewood American Legion.

Dale was born on July, 15th 1946, the son of Norman and Thelma B. (Boggs) Nelson. Dale worked 29 years for World Color Press of Effingham. He enjoyed being outdoors riding his Harley Davidson and especially enjoyed fishing.

Dale is survived by his son, Todd Nelson of Effingham; daughter-in-law, Angie (Lueken) Nelson; grandson, Alex Nelson; granddaughter, Sydney Nelson, all of Effingham; brother, Jerry (Dianne) Nelson of Russell's Point, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Tracy Lynn Nelson; son, Chad Nelson; sister, Cleta Clark; brothers, Daryl "Bud" Nelson and Gerald Gene Nelson.
