Dennis C. "Clark" Steele, 71 of Effingham, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Clark was born August 31, 1953 in Fairfield, the son of Clarence and Mary (Sims) Steele. He married Debra L. Ashbaugh on April 6, 1994.

Clark is survived by his wife, Debra; daughter, Angela Spivey; sons, Quintin, Nathan, and Jason; brother, Clarence (Bonnie) of Lexington, KY; sister, Mary Rose Ervin of Mattoon; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Clark was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene, and sister, Barbara Newberry.
