Cory J. Anderson, 25 of Effingham, passed away Friday evening, December 11, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Christ's Church in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cory was born September 29, 1990 in Effingham, the son of Virginia R. Anderson. He graduated from Effingham High School in 2009. Cory enjoyed spending time with his friends, which was anybody and everybody he met. He loved his two dogs and enjoyed video games,  super heroes, golfing, and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.

Cory is survived by his mother, Virginia of Effingham; sister, Ashley (Michael) Ford of Sneads Ferry, NC; grandfather, Allen D. Anderson of Shelbyville, TX; uncle, Wesley (Lisa) Anderson of Naperville; cousins, Ryan Anderson of Manhattan, Nicholas Anderson of Prosper, TX and Jaclyn Anderson of Naperville.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Roxy Anderson.
