Clay H. Schmohe, 67, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at his home in Hidalgo.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Faith Fellowship Church in Hidalgo.

Clay was born October 9, 1955 in Effingham, the son of Joe H. and Leah B. (Beals) Schmohe.

He is survived by his son, Dustin (Melissa) Schmohe of Effingham; daughters, Nichole (Danny) Clay of Greenup, Elizabeth (Greg) Wilson of Mason, Katy (Brian) Houser of Effingham, and Helen Schmohe of South Dakota; brother, Mark (Frances) Schmohe of Tecumseh, OK; eight grandchildren.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Crystal Evans.
