Clara G. Miller, 85, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her home in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or Catholic Charities. www.bauerfh.com.
Clara was born September 9, 1927 in Effingham County, the daughter of William and Anna (Nuxoll) Niebrugge. She married T.L. Miller on April 17, 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1966. Clara was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham, Council of Catholic Women and Ladies of Charity.
Clara is survived by two sons, James (Cathy) of Springfield, MO and William (Karen) of Charlevoix, MI; one daughter, Kathryn Brown of Effingham; two sisters, Anna (Bill) Barlage of Effingham and Celeste (Galen) Williams of Paragould, AR; sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Niebrugge of Effingham, Louise Niebrugge of Sigel; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Leo, Ralph, Otto, Martin and Leonard Niebrugge; two sisters, Sophie Dust and Helen Schwerman.
