Obituary

With love and respect, the family of Cindy Dianne Wright Orrick announces her passing on November 5, 2021 at her home in Effingham, Illinois.

A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Spring Hill Cemetery, near Wright's Corner. Her family requests that all who knew her are invited to attend.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Dallas Wright, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Laura McPhearson; her husband Stanley Gene Orrick; daughter Autumn Orrick Biscomb, from Ruston Louisiana, and husband Ben Biscomb; son Nicholas Orrick. from Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren Kade Biscomb, Kadence Nugent, Kolbie Nugent and Gaiden Orrick; sister Robin and husband Mitch Harsey; sister Evelyn and husband Christopher Bible; and brother Dallas Wright, Jr. and Danxuan Long.
Born in Vandalia, Illinois, on September 18, 1956, Cindy eventually moved to Ruston, Louisiana, then later back to Illinois in Effingham where she called home. Throughout her life her children remember her as a hard worker.  She worked mostly in the public where she met many friends.  She eventually retired as a fabricator at Irwin Telescopic Seating Company. Her family recalls that Cindy's co-workers were always some of her best friends. She always made a connection with someone where ever she worked.
Although Cindy didn't socialize much, she was a considerate and thoughtful woman who loved children.  She enjoyed reading, watching movies, rummage sales and playing board/dice games with her mother.  Cindy will be missed by many.
