Christine R. Adams, 58 of Effingham, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 23, 2019.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to an Education Fund for Christine's children.

Christine was born August 11, 1960 in Olney, the daughter of Don and Arlene (Kocher) Volk. She married the love of her life, Jim Adams on April 20, 1985 and together they had two children, who were her world. Christine was a member of St. Anthony Church in Effingham and was employed for many years at the office of the Effingham County Clerk. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always had a smile on her face.

Christine is survived by her husband, Jim of Effingham; son, Bradly and daughter, Kimberly; mother, Arlene Volk of Newton; brothers, Ervan (Cindy) Volk of Newton and Walter (Bonne) Volk of Ingraham and sister, Sheila (Kevin) Moore of Columbia.

Christine was preceded in death by her father and sister, Janet.
