Charles A. "Charlie" Miller, 53, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home in Watson surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cancer Center. Charlie was born November 20, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of James R. and Lillian (Barnett) Miller. He was a graduate of Effingham High School and married his high school sweetheart, Janice, on August 1, 1981. Charlie worked for World Color Printing Press for thirteen years, was a sales manager at Ford for numerous years, and a machine operator for Steven's Industries for five years. His favorite hobbies included riding ATV's, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his family. Charlie had a very generous heart and loved making people laugh. He was a kind and caring husband, father, papa, brother and friend. Charlie will be missed by many.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Janice of Watson; two daughters, Ashley (Nick) Martin of Chicago and Ali Miller of St. Joseph; granddaughter, Alaina Martin; three brothers, Gary (Cheryl) of Mattoon, Steven of Seattle, WA and Chris (Kolleen) of Cheyenne, WY; two sisters, Donna (David) Cotterman of West Carrollton, OH and Debbie Aldora of Effingham.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry.
