Charles L. "Chuck" Levitt, 68, passed away at 9:46 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home in Effingham.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, with visitation being held for one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Chuck was born September 2, 1946 in East Peoria, the son of Howard and Thelma (Sparr) Levitt. He was employed as an assembler at Fedders Corporation for over thirty years.

Chuck is survived by his two sons, Jerry (fiance, Angela) and Brian, both of Effingham; daughter, Hattie (Benji) Rine of Vandalia; brother, Clark Levitt of Effingham; ten grandchildren, Tevin Vanatta, Breanna Vanatta, Taylor Rine, Jesse Tucker, Damien Brown, Brock Reedy, Dereck Reedy, Megan Levitt, Brittany and Jacob Levitt; two great-grandchildren, Adelynn Vanatta and Maximus Reedy.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Levitt.
