Catherine A. Gardner, 66 of Teutopolis, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a rosary to follow.

Catherine was born March 19, 1955 in Effingham, the daughter of Mervin and Ruth (Gill) Wakefield.

She is survived by her husband of over 38 years, Donald Gardner of Teutopolis; daughters, Amy (Phil) McQuinn and Rebecca Gardner, both of Colorado Springs, CO; grandson, Zane; brother, Steven Wakefield of Champaign.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon Frye; brother, Mark Wakefield and nephew, Ryan Frye.
