Carolyn Sue Buening's Obituary
Carolyn Sue Buening, 63 of Effingham, passed away at 6:23 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Effingham County Humane Society.
Carolyn was born May 10, 1950 in Effingham, the daughter of Olen and Opal E. (Brockett) Boggs. She worked out of her home as a daycare provider for many years.
Carolyn is survived by her son, John Michael (Kimberly) of Newport News, VA; two daughters, Angela Brueggeman of Swansea and Melissa (Aaron) Paton of Caseyville; two sisters, Nancy (Duon) Powell of Effingham and Eva Kluessendorf of Montgomery; eight grandchildren, William, Jack and Faith Buening, Taylor, Daniel and Samuel Brueggeman, Caleb and Ethan Paton.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Boggs.
