Caroline R. Verdeyen, 71 of Effingham, passed away at 4:31 a.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, with visitation being held from 11:30 a.m. to time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.bauerfh.com.

Caroline was born December 19, 1944 in Effingham, the daughter of Henry and Laura (Schultz) Bannick. She married Roger A. Verdeyen, Sr. on May 14, 1964 and he survives.

Caroline is also survived by her seven sons, Victor of Hamel, Anthony (Gretchen) of Sparta, WI, Roger Jr. (Trinitta) of Troy, Richard (fiance, Robin) of Troy, Stanley of Carlinville, Christopher (Lori) of Liberty and David (Michaela) of Effingham; brother, David Bannick of Flagstaff, AZ and two sisters, Thelma (Ron) Poe of California and Linda Bannick of Edgewood; twenty-one grandchildren, Dominic, Nathan, Leah, Jasmine, Noah, Leeroy, Elijah, Trevor, Gabriella, Lily, Natasha, Lyelia, David, Niki, Jessica, Kolton, Chelsea, Lochlam, Taydon, Kochen, and Landon.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet and brother, Albert.
