Carole "Sue" (Stepp) Moore Graddy, 77, of Shumway, IL went to her eternal rest at 6:11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Il.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, Il. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Morgan Funeral Home, Advance, Mo., with visitation one hour prior. Graveside services will follow at Cato Cemetery, Sturdivant, MO. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life of Effingham County/Daily News Headliners, or the Cystic Fibrosis Association, in honor of her late niece, Jillian Stepp.

Carole Sue Stepp was born June 15, 1943 in Qulin, Mo., the daughter of Malta R. and Thelma M. (Waltman) Stepp. Sue was a 1961 graduate of Zelma High School in Missouri. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis, where she married and had 5 children. She moved her family to Shumway, Illinois in 1976. She had a successful career as a pharmaceutical sales representative in Effingham. She later moved back to her home state of Missouri, and married the love of her life, Benjamin Graddy in Bourbon, Mo. in 1998. They shared a love of singing karaoke, fishing, antiquing and gardening. He preceded her in death in 2002. In 2013 she moved to Shumway, IL to be close to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, Carol DeeAnn Moore (husband, Tom) Bauguss of Greenup, Il; sons, Gordon "Rusty" Moore of Vandalia, IL, Craig Stephen (wife, Linda) Moore of Shumway, IL, Kevin Douglas (wife, Sheila) Moore of Troy, Il. and Gary Christopher Moore of Salem, IL; brothers, Roger Kenneth Stepp (wife, Heidi) of Enterprise, AL; Malta Romaine "Maynard" Stepp (wife, Paula) of Texarkana, AK; Jullian Ace Stepp (wife, Meloyne) of Texarkana, AK; Mark Stepp (wife, Kim) of Advance, MO, Robert "Bob" Moore of Enterprise, AL; Terry "Mike" Moore of Piedmont, MO: sister, Rosalyn "Tepper" Stepp Burger (husband, Marvin) of Zalma, MO.; grandchildren, Derek (wife, Amber) Gordon of Evansville, IN, Travis Gordon of Evansville, IN, Ryan Gordon of Greenup, IL, Jacob Moore of Kincaid, IL, Abigail "Abby" Moore of St. Louis/Vandalia, IL, Cassie Moore Mette (husband, Troy) of Altamont, IL, Amber Conder (husband, Matt) of Sigel, IL, Jeff Sapp (wife, Shawna) of Shumway, IL; Kyle Sapp (wife, Tashawna) of Shumway, IL; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Ronald Stepp and sister, Kathy Stepp Bond.
