Brianne Grace Martin, 23 of Effingham, passed away Friday evening, October 17, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Brianne was born June 17, 1991 in Kankakee, the daughter of Steve and April (Hurt) Martin. She was a 2010 graduate of Effingham High School and a 2014 graduate of Lakeland College in Mattoon. Brianne was currently attending Eastern Illinois University and was employed by the C.E.A.D. Council in Charleston.

Brianne is survived by her daughter, Madeline Grace "Gracie" Summers; father, Steve Martin of Burlington, IN; mother, April Hurt of Effingham; brother, Jacob Martin of Effingham; sister, Annabelle Martin of Burlington, IN; grandparents, John and Renee Martin of Goodland, IN and William and Barbara Hurt of Kentland, IN; great-grandparents, Merle and Loretta Martin of Goodland, IN and Arlene French of Ocala, FL; Travis Summers, father of Madeline Grace and a very special person in Brianne's life; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Brianne was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Richard French; great-grandparents, William and Grace Atchley and Marion and Maggie Hurt.
