Betty Higgs' Obituary
Betty Lou Higgs, 54 of Decatur, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Altamont Christian Church. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until time of service, Thursday afternoon at the church.
Betty was born April 26, 1960 in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of John and Lucinda Parker. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and had also been a waitress at Cracker Barrel.
Betty is survived by her children, Hannah Higgs of Decatur, Nicole "Nikkie" Wuennenburg of St. Louis, MO, Quintin Young of Decatur and QuRina (Eric) Young of Vandalia; five grandchildren, Eve Higgs, MaLeeha Yearber-Higgs, Cherish Yearber, Justyce Higgs and Elijah Tedrick. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Malachi.
