Barbara L. Smith, 76 of Dieterich, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to the time of mass, Monday, in the church parish hall. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Barb was born April 27, 1949, the daughter of Aloysius and Edna (Nosbisch) Worman.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Allie Worman of Stewardson; sons-in-law, Dary Painter and Mel Shelton of Richview; brother, Richard Worman of Dieterich; sister, Mary Behl of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Kay and Loretta Worman, both of Dieterich; friend, Karla Probst of Stewardson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bobbi Jo; brothers, Adolph and Leonard Worman; brother-in-law, Dick Behl; sister-in-law, Cassie Worman; and special uncle, Henry Worman.
