Barbara Ann Mayhew, 66, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 14, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to the time of service, Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.

Barbara was born January 18, 1959 in Oblong, the daughter of Ray W. and Anna M. (Clouse) Burk.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Daniel) Jessee of Powhatan, VA; son, James of Effingham; mother, Anna of Effingham; brothers, Johnny (Margaret) of Dalton, GA and Jack of Lone Jack, MO; sister, Nancy (Jim) Reed of Springville, UT; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Justin T. Burk and Joe Dale Burk.
