Ashley Renee Brothers, 33 of Effingham, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to time of service, Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be given to Ashley's children.

Ashley was born October 20, 1986 in Mattoon, the daughter of Jerome Brothers and Tammy Katt. She is survived by her daughters, Destiny Spracklin and Taylor Matlock; mother, Tammy Katt of Effingham; father, Jerome (Laurie) Brothers of Mattoon; brother, Adam Brothers of Effingham; sister, Crystal (Austin) Schoonover of Charleston; grandmother, Karolyn Davis of Shamrock, OK; fiancé, Timothy Matlock; two nephews and four nieces.

Ashley was preceded in death by three grandmothers, three grandfathers, one great-grandmother and one great-grandfather.
