Anita "Sis" Marie Russell, 63, of Effingham, joined her husband Stan Russell Sr in heaven on November 3, 2024 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Sis was born on June 14, 1961 to the late Jack Sr. and Iris (Gruenwald) Stewart. She enjoyed working in the food service industry for Bobber, Dixie and the Iron Skillet. She loved spending time with her family, gardening/canning and sewing. She also loved her weekly dinners with her grandkids Aspen Rehkemper & Sebastian Ring.

She married Stanley "Stan" Russell Sr. on April 25, 2003. Combined they had 7 children; Jaci Roley, Nick (Alex) Roley, Nessa (Tom) Rehkemper, John (Kari) Russell, Stephanie (Corey) Heselton, Stan Jr. (Kayla) Russell and Amy (Nick) Crear; 14 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild.

She is survived by her children; brothers , Jack Jr. (Tina) Stewart & Ralph (Karen) Stewart, and sisters-in-law, Dot Stewart & Lisa Stewart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings Kelley, Roger, Mary Katherine & Willie Stewart and her grandson, Dakota Ring.
