Anita Kaye Lake, 75, passed away at 3:15 p.m. May 6, 2016 at her home in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Effingham County Humane Society.

Kaye was born June 12, 1940 in Mt. Vernon Illinois, the daughter of Donald, and Margaret (Hogue) Baines. She married Danny M. Lake on August 9, 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1980.

Kaye is survived by three daughters; Niki (Jerry) Hoffman of Effingham, Dr. Michelle (Dr. Shawn) Fenoughty of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dana (Chris) Koester of Effingham; two sons, Danny(Terri) Lake and Scott (Charla) Lake both of Effingham; fourteen grandchildren Tasha Hoffman, Ryan (Kassy Hoffman, Lauren (Kyle) Zerrusen Seth(Traci) Walk Hoffman, Cullen Fenoughty, Erin Fenoughty, Andrew Koester, Adam Koester, Brett Koester, Danny "Mitch" Lake, Jayde Lake, Tyler Lake, Madi Stortzum, Devyn Lake; and two great grandchildren Kyandra Zerrusen, Kolten Lange. Plus her two best furry friends Emie and Stormy.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
