Angela C. Jansen, 107 of Island Grove, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Island Grove, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at the church, with a 6:30 pm rosary and ladies' sodality service. Memorial donations may be given to the St. Isidore Parish at Island Grove or the Dieterich Meals on Wheels.

Angela was born November 14, 1916 in Newton, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Hainz) Dhom. She married Reuben Jansen on November 6, 1940 and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1967.

Angela is survived by her children, Doris McDevitt of Effingham, Ted Jansen of Teutopolis, Sam (Sue) Jansen of Teutopolis, Pat (Janet) Jansen of Teutopolis, Gail (Tom) Mette of Effingham, Fred Jansen of Watson, Fran (Donald) Zumbahlen of Effingham, and Deb (Richard) Runde of Teutopolis; daughter-in-law, Jean Jansen Lading of Effingham; 41 grandchildren, 118 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tony Jansen; daughter, Kathy Jansen; great-grandson, Levi Jansen; sisters, Agnes Dhom, Mary Ciesinski, Clara Wiercioch, and Emily Price.
