Obituary

Andrew B. Willenborg, 84 of Dieterich, passed away at 11:13 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek, with burial in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the church with a 6:00 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cancer Center or to the donor's choice.

Andrew was born April 17, 1930 in Sigel, the son of Ferdinand and Mary (Ruholl) Willenborg. He married Sue Ann Hartke on September 14, 1957 and she preceded him in death on August 15, 1994. Andrew was a member of St. Isidore Parish and had worked as a mechanic for Laue Motor Company for many years. He also served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

Andrew is survived by four sons, Gary of Dieterich, Brian (Lee) of Shumway, Kevin (Denise) of Dieterich and Gregg of Dieterich; two daughters, Brenda Reiss of Dieterich and Pam (Rick) Hoelscher of Effingham; brother, Joe of Altamont; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Dial, Kira Crowder, Shelby Willenborg, Steven Willenborg, Danielle Willenborg, Desteny Willenborg, Kory Willenborg, Ryan and Shawn Reiss, Alex and Hailey Hoelscher; two great-grandchildren, Ian Dial and Talon Crowder.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Albert and sister, Leona.
