Andrew H. Fuesting, 92, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery with military rites. Please follow mask and social distancing guidelines.

Andrew was born December 1, 1928, the son of Henry J. and Mary E. (Kollmeyer) Fuesting. He married Barbara Ann Althoff on April 5, 1984 and she preceded him in death in 2001. Andrew served with the United States Army and received a Purple Heart from his service during the Korean War. He was a mechanic, machinist and manager of Adermann's Welding. Andrew also farmed for many years.

Andrew is survived by his sister, Frances Hoene; sister-in-law, Louise Fuesting; many nieces and nephews.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Albert Fuesting, Ferdinand Fuesting, Joseph Fuesting, Helena Grunloh, Mary Kreke, Anthony Fuesting, Rosa Kaufman and Christopher Fuesting.
