Alice P. Hakman, 77, of Montrose died at 1:14 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2021 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, followed by a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.

Mrs. Hakman was born on July 23, 1943 in New York, the daughter of Kathleen Cromie and Joseph Fondacaro. She married Clarence Hakman on June 26, 1965. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, vacations, gardening, playing bingo, late night drives, time with her dog and being retired.

Survivors include son, Chris Hakman of Effingham, IL.; daughters, Doreen (husband Tom) Israel of Shorewood, IL, Joan (husband Steve) Kemnetz of Crest Hill, IL, and SueAnn Hakman of Republic, MO. She had eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
