Obituary

Adolph A. Zerrusen, 79 of Teutopolis, passed away at 2:30 a.m., Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday evening at the church with a 7:00 p.m. parish prayer service. Memorials may be made to Teutopolis American Legion Post 924, the Cross Foundation or to the donor's choice. Adolph was born September 27, 1934 in Effingham County, the son of Ferd and Mary (Pruemer) Zerrusen. He married Mary L. Kingery on June 15, 1957 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Adolph served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former accountant at Moore Business Forms, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874, former Board of Directors for Home Farmers Mutual and a member of Teutopolis American Legion Post #924.

Adolph is survived by two sons, Kevin (Janet) of McLean, VA and Kenneth of Akron, OH; four daughters, Kim (Tim) Mach of Dayton, OH, Kristi Becker of St. Louis, MO, Karleen (Paul) Turner of Scottsdale, AZ and Karmen (Steve) Little of Noblesville, IN; fifteen grandchildren also survive.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; two sisters, Dorothy Brummer and Anna Marie Niemerg; grandchild, Jordan.
